Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American artist, writer and actress well known for her character Ginger Grant in the 1960s television show Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she launched her acting career on stage in Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. After that, she acted on Broadway in a variety of shows up until the year of 1957 when Li'lAbner went famous at the National Theatre. Her first music album called It's time for Tina that same year. Louise made her foray into Hollywood in the role of Griselda Walden from God's little Acre, a film about drama that was released in 1958.The movie received wide acclaim and Louise was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. During this time she began her studies at Actors Studio in New York and formed a connection to Lee Strasberg as his student. She signed on with CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant. Louise kept juggling her career across Broadway as well as Hollywood playing more serious characters as opposed to her perception of being an glamor girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The series also featured her as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although during the last couple of years she's also made an impact as a successful director in numerous well-known TV shows including Supernatural and The 100. Her family relocated out of Essex to Toronto which is where she spent her the majority of her childhood and teens. After being chosen in 1997 to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has lived there since then.
